Severe Disciplinary and Security Measures Against Over Two Hundred Students at Guilan University

Severe disciplinary and security measures against more than two hundred students of the University of Guilan

According to reports from students of the University of Guilan, this university, through an illegal and repressive process, has suspended about 138 students for one semester and about 34 students for two semesters.

Additionally, the disciplinary files of 22 other students from this university have been referred to the central disciplinary council in Tehran for review for a ruling under clause 14, which involves a three-semester suspension, and clause 16, which involves a four-semester suspension.

These disciplinary actions sometimes take the form of SMS, phone calls, and verbal confrontations, or at best, through the formation of sessions with an illegal format of the disciplinary committee. Additionally, a three-day ultimatum evacuation SMS has been sent for the expulsion of non-local students from the dormitory, even though according to the regulations, if the ruling is confirmed in the appeal stage, the issued rulings should be implemented from the next semester.
