Seyed Hadi Khamenei: We have no choice but to engage in serious and purposeful dialogue
Seyed Hadi Khamenei, the Secretary-General of the Assembly of the Forces of the Imam’s Line, said in a joint meeting of the central council members and provincial secretaries of this reformist organization
Our path is clear; we have no choice but to engage in serious and purposeful dialogue within the framework of the country’s issues and national interests. When we talk about dialogue, it means everyone should be ready to listen to others, even if their words are bitter.
Some constantly talk about the interference of enemies and the chaos they create. Of course, those who, with their mistakes, have led to the protests of the youth and what you call disturbances might very well be infiltrators of the enemy. Do you accept this?
If we objected to the supervisory oversight, it was to form an efficient parliament that emerges from the majority’s vote and can be the essence of the nation’s virtues, a parliament that represents the existing tastes in society. If we spoke of the necessity of considering expert opinions, it was to use the advice of the country’s elites, apart from factional views, to reduce damages in various cultural and social domains.
You can see right now that people are in the worst economic conditions, yet government officials talk about improving the situation. It is evident that they are not in the market and among the people, and they are unaware of the prices, inflation, and recession.
It is unacceptable for the children of the people to be left waiting for work and basic necessities here, while the children and families of some officials enjoy the best facilities abroad. This discrimination and inequality do not escape the people’s notice.
We cannot invite people to religious values while simultaneously being caught in misunderstanding, distortion, and rigidity, which causes people to turn away from religion and religious values.
