Seyyed Mohammad Ali Ayazi, a researcher in religious and Quranic sciences, says platforms for dialogue and peaceful marches should be provided.
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Mohammad Ali Ayazi, a researcher in religious and Quranic sciences, stated in an interview with Shafaqna.
People can easily criticize the rulers when the government provides the necessary space for these criticisms and protests and refrains from violence. The groundwork and conditions for dialogue and peaceful marches should be created, and violence should be avoided.
We must give the initial opportunity to intellectuals, artists, thinkers, and university professors, allowing them to express their criticisms. Independent clerics should be able to give speeches and speak their minds. Those who have experience and rationality, even if they disagree with us, should have the opportunity to speak.
If we create the environment and opportunity for dialogue for the middle segment, which includes writers, researchers, university professors, independent clerics, and scholars, certainly some of the violence and situations occurring in the streets today will be reduced. But when intellectuals and professors are heavily attacked and threatened, naturally the relationship is severed, leading to the events we are witnessing in the country today.
