Shabak reports foiling an assassination attempt on Israel’s Minister of National Security

The Israeli internal intelligence and security agency, Shabak, states that plans to assassinate Itamar Ben-Gvir, the country’s Minister of National Security, attack Ben Gurion International Airport, and abduct several Israeli soldiers have been thwarted.

According to Shabak, seven Israeli Arabs and four Palestinians from the West Bank have been arrested in connection with this matter.

Based on this report, an attack on an Israeli settlement in the West Bank where Ben-Gvir resides, attacks on government buildings in Jerusalem, and military bases were also planned.

It is said that they intended to kill Ben-Gvir with an anti-tank missile. According to Shabak, these individuals also planned to abduct several Israeli soldiers.
