Shahbaz Sharif: Negotiations Haven't Died, But We've Encountered a Deadlock

Shehbaz Sharif: The talks have not died, but we have encountered a deadlock

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, said on Sunday, April 12th, regarding the latest status of the peace talks between Tehran and Washington, which started with his country’s mediation, that the talks have not died, but we have encountered a deadlock.

These talks, which took place over more than 20 hours in Islamabad, ended without a result. The Islamic Republic accused Washington of excessive demands, and the United States announced that Tehran’s unwillingness to give up its nuclear ambitions has prevented the talks from reaching a conclusion.
