Shiva Ghasemipour, Member of Parliament, Says Imposing Mandatory Hijab is Inappropriate

Shiva Ghasemipour, a member of parliament, says imposing mandatory hijab is inappropriate

This representative from Marivan and Sarvabad in Kurdistan province has stated that if we want to impose the hijab on someone by force, personally, I think this is an inappropriate action, especially if such a thing happens in schools.

Following the death of Mahsa Zhina Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish girl, while in the custody of the morality police, widespread protests against mandatory hijab occurred in Iran, with protesters demanding the overthrow of the government.

Ms. Ghasemipour also commented on the news about the screening of obscene films in some schools in the country, saying that if these reports are true, she is sorry for whoever facilitated such conditions. She has promised to follow up on the matter.
