Shooting at the US Consulate in Toronto caused damage but no casualties.
The US Consulate in downtown Toronto was targeted by gunfire early Monday for the second time this year. Toronto police announced that evidence of gunfire was found outside the consulate building, and a white sedan fled the scene after the incident.
A spokesperson for the US Embassy confirmed that at least one bullet hit the consulate building, but the incident resulted in no deaths or injuries. Police also stated that a bullet casing was found at the scene and investigations to identify the shooter or shooters are ongoing.
