Sima Sabeti, the host of Iran International network, resigned from the network and chose human dignity

Sima Sabet, the host of Iran International network, resigned from this network and chose human dignity.

Yesterday, Sima Sabet announced her resignation from Iran International network in a tweet.

I resigned from Iran International Television and announce the closure and end of the program ‘Cheshmandaz with Sima Sabet’. I was compelled to choose between working under specific conditions and human dignity, and I chose the latter.

In Washington, strange and new working conditions emerged that made it practically impossible for our small team to continue. Our efforts to resolve the challenges over several months were fruitless. We faced a process that could potentially weaken one of the most effective Persian-language programs in the long run, something that I and the former senior editor of Iran International’s talk programs, Saman Rasoulpour, did not want to be a part of.
