Cyrus Parham, a prominent Iranian translator and literary critic, has passed away.
Cyrus Parham, a distinguished Iranian translator, literary critic, art expert, and carpet specialist, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 97.
He was among the first to engage in literary criticism in Iran using Western literary criticism methods.
Mr. Parham was also one of the first Iranian editors and the first editor of the Franklin Publishing Institute, which is today known as Scientific and Cultural Publications.
Cyrus Parham was one of the founders of the National Archives of Iran and had notable activities in the fields of art and carpet studies.
