Skocic Was Dismissed from Iran National Team

Skocic was fired from Iran’s national team.

Skocic was officially dismissed from his position as head coach of the national team.

After Carlos Queiroz’s appointment as the head coach of the national football team was finalized, the federation officials held a meeting with Dragan Skocic last night to inform him of the termination of his contract. Last night, after Skocic had finished work, the Croatian coach received a call from Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, the first vice president of the federation. Nabi asked Skocic to come to the federation and attend a meeting. In this meeting, Nabi, who had previously worked with Skocic, informed him of the termination of their collaboration. This decision by the federation and the actions taken have caused great distress for the coach. During the meeting with Nabi, he did not hide his displeasure and expressed his objection to the federation’s decision. According to reports, Queiroz is set to replace this head coach on the national team’s bench and will soon arrive in Iran.
