Social tension following a 10 to 20-fold increase in gas bills
Mohammad Ali Mohseni Bandpei, the representative of Nowshahr in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said that the astronomical increase in household gas prices will lead to social tension.
Mohseni Bandpei, in a public session on Wednesday, March 15, addressed the Minister of Oil regarding gas bills, saying that sometimes gas bills have increased 10 to 20 times, and people across the country, especially those in my electoral district, are extremely worried about this issue, and this situation will lead to social tension.
He continued by saying that people, despite conserving, have been forced to use gas to protect their families, and they have neither smuggled gas nor misused it.
