Some members of parliament find the resolution to increase the retirement age ambiguous

Several members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly have criticized the resolution of this body regarding the increase in retirement age, calling it ambiguous.

Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani is one of them, who told the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA) that we requested the ambiguity to be resolved and are trying to make an amendment on it again because it is ambiguous. Some say it has become 42 years, while others say it is 35 years. I believe the resolution is ambiguous and this needs to be corrected. Today, also in the public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Jafar Qaderi, another member of the Iranian parliament, said that the issue of retirement age was not discussed in the Joint Commission of the Seventh Plan Bill, and this resolution of the floor has ambiguities that need to be addressed further and returned to the floor.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, responded to him by stating that this decision is irreversible.
