South Korea denies military involvement in the Iran war
Lee Jae-myung, the President of South Korea, announced that Seoul will not send troops or military equipment to participate in the war against Iran and will continue its policy of not directly entering the conflict. In a press conference, he stated that no deployment of forces leading to involvement in the conflict will take place, and there will be no entry or participation in the war. However, the South Korean President said his government is still considering limited measures to protect commercial ships, oil shipments, and Korean citizens in the region, actions which, according to him, should not lead to the country’s involvement in the war.
