South Korean President and His Wife's Visit to the UK

Visit of the South Korean President and his wife to the United Kingdom

Yoon Suk Yeol, the President of South Korea, and his wife have embarked on an official visit to the United Kingdom.

He is the first leader of a country to visit since the coronation of King Charles III of the United Kingdom.

Since taking office, the South Korean President has sought to strengthen his country’s relations with Western governments, while his country faces the growing nuclear threat from North Korea.

The main focus of this visit, however, will be on trade and technology issues.

Talks between the two countries regarding a new free trade agreement will begin tomorrow, Wednesday.

The United Kingdom is keen to strengthen its relations with the growing economies in the Indo-Pacific region, especially after leaving the European Union.

According to the latest statistics, the volume of trade between the United Kingdom and South Korea is approximately 161 billion pounds, more than twenty billion dollars annually.

According to the British Prime Minister’s Office, the South Korean President and his wife will stay in the United Kingdom for three days.
