Oh Yeong-su, the actor from the popular and widely-watched Korean series ‘Squid Game’ on Netflix, has been sentenced to an eight-month suspended prison sentence by a court in South Korea for sexual assault.

At the age of 79, he has been accused of two instances of sexually assaulting a woman in 2022.

According to Agence France-Presse, this sexual misconduct occurred five years ago in 2017, when he was staying in a rural area for a theater performance.

Mr. Yeong-su has stated that he will appeal the verdict.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that, according to court documents, it was alleged that he hugged a woman and kissed her cheek against her will.
