Starmer and the President of Turkey met in Ankara to discuss the sale of Eurofighter jets

On Monday, October 27th, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara to discuss the sale of 40 Eurofighter Typhoon jets to Turkey.

This trip marks Starmer’s first official visit to Turkey since he became Prime Minister and comes at a time when the two NATO countries are seeking to expand their defense cooperation.

According to informed sources, if the agreement is finalized, 12 of these jets will be immediately provided to Turkey from Qatar and Oman, and the remaining 28 will be delivered over the coming years.
