Start of Fighter Jet Delivery to Ukraine

The head of the International Policy Office of the Polish President announced that the process of delivering the first batch of Poland’s MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine has been completed.

Marcin Przydacz, without mentioning the number of Poland’s MiG-29 fighter jets currently in Ukraine, added that during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Poland, there will certainly be discussions about further support from Warsaw for Kyiv.

One day after the Polish President’s remarks, Slovakia also announced its decision to transfer this type of fighter jets to Ukraine.

Slovakia will deliver 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv, some of which may be decommissioned due to the need for spare parts for other aircraft.
