Statement by a Group of Muslim Revolutionaries: What Remains is Nothing but Shame

A statement from a group of Muslim revolutionaries: What remains is nothing but shame.

A group calling themselves the Muslim revolutionaries of the 1979 revolution has released a statement declaring that what remains of the 1979 revolution is nothing but shame.

The signatories of this statement have explained in three points what their goals were for the 1979 revolution, including the dismantling of prisons, the establishment of universities, and the prevention of corruption and cronyism.

The statement goes on to say that the vast number of political and civil prisoners, unjust court rulings, and wrongful executions are considered achievements for the regime, or the sentences carried out on young protesters behind high prison walls, or the suffocating atmosphere that has left us, the survivors of the previous regime’s fighters, with nothing but shame over what is happening to the children of this land.

Lutfollah Meisami, Abolfazl Qadiani, Ashraf Montazeri, the child of Ayatollah Montazeri, Hossein Raghfar, and Abdulhamid Moradzehi are among the signatories of this statement.
