The statement from the Council for Organizing Protests of Oil Contract Workers: The scale of poverty and hunger is catastrophic.
On Wednesday, December 12, the Council for Organizing Protests of Oil Contract Workers wrote in a statement published on its Telegram channel that the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ movement shows no sign of stopping.
The council has condemned the repression and killing of protesters and executions, and at the same time stated that workers are demanding freedom and welfare.
In this statement, referring to the protests that began on September 16 following the death of Mahsa Amini during detention by the morality police, it is mentioned that we took to the streets to defend our lost lives and our human dignity, but they responded with bullets and imprisonment.
The prisons are filled with young people and teenagers who are the beloved children of us, the people. During this time, about 600 people have lost their lives from gunfire or in prison due to torture. Many of these are young people, teenagers, and even a ten-year-old child like Kian Pour Falak.
