Students’ protest against the decision to vacate dormitories during Ramadan

The Vice President for Education at the University of Tehran stated that one of the reasons for the dormitory closure from March 16 to April 26 is the overlap with Ramadan and the existing issues with students’ return tickets after the Nowruz holidays.

Meanwhile, the National Student Councils reported that Alireza Vaji, the Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Tehran, told students during a protest gathering on Monday afternoon on the university campus that the reason for announcing the more than a month-long dormitory closure and the suspension of in-person education is the lack of necessary budget to manage university affairs.
