Suicide of a Dissident Painter
According to reports on social media, Maryam Salimian, an artist painter who supported nationwide protests with her works, committed suicide at the airport after receiving a student visa to Austria and being informed of her travel ban.
The news states that she, due to her creativity in the field of painting, created numerous works including those about protests and protesters and published them on her Instagram page, had been repeatedly threatened by intelligence forces.
