Sullivan’s Phone Conversation with Saudi Crown Prince about Iran

The White House statement mentioned that Mr. Sullivan and Crown Prince bin Salman also discussed broader trends towards reducing tensions in the region, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining deterrents against threats from Iran and other areas. Mr. Sullivan reaffirmed Joe Biden’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon.
Iran and Saudi Arabia recently agreed, with China’s mediation, to resume relations and reopen their embassies.
