Summoning of the managing director of Jahan-e Sanat newspaper to Tehran’s judiciary was conducted for charge notification

The Judiciary Media Center wrote

Following the suspension of Jahan-e Sanat newspaper by the Press Supervisory Board and the referral of the case to the judiciary, this morning the managing director of the newspaper was summoned to Tehran’s judiciary to provide explanations and was informed of the charges

It is noteworthy that following the publication of an article in the November 18th issue of Jahan-e Sanat newspaper, which accused law enforcement and national security forces, the supervisory board, by majority vote and based on the note of Article 12 of the Press Law, issued a ruling to suspend the newspaper and decided that the case should be referred to the judiciary for investigation

The author of the aforementioned article was also summoned to the judiciary and appeared at the judiciary today
