Survey Result: IRNA Reports People Trust Social Media More Than State TV

The result of the Islamic Republic News Agency’s survey shows that people trust social media more than state TV and radio.

The results of the IRNA survey indicate that 25% of ordinary people do not trust any domestic news sources, and 11% of media professionals inside Iran do not recognize any domestic news sources as reliable.

On Wednesday, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) released the results of its survey conducted among visitors of the 24th Iranian Media Exhibition.

According to the results of this survey, 26% of ordinary people who visited the exhibition believe that most fake news is published on domestic media and social networks.

However, 54% of them also believe that Instagram, Telegram, and X (Twitter) play a major role in spreading fake news, and 20% of people have pointed to satellite channels.
