Suspect in the murder case of Elahe Hosseinnezhad got angry from her humiliation and had no intention to steal the phone

The defendant in the murder case of Elahe Hosseinnezhad said, ‘I was angry because of her humiliation, and my intention was not to steal the phone.’

Bahman Farzaneh, accused of murdering Elahe Hosseinnezhad, appeared before reporters on the morning of Sunday, June 7th, in the presence of the head of the Tehran Criminal Court and provided new details about the manner of the murder and his motive.

Bahman explained the events of the day of the incident, saying, ‘I picked up a passenger from Daralsalam in Islamshahr using the Snapp app and came to Tehran.’

He continued, ‘I dropped the passenger off at Azadi Square and waited there for another passenger. When Elahe got in, I had been standing there for about 20 minutes.’

Regarding the details of the conversation with the victim, he said, ‘Elahe initially sat in the back seat but then moved to the front seat and was talking loudly on the phone.’

He added, ‘After that, she started a conversation with me. When I heard what she was saying, I asked, why do you talk about your life like this? I wanted to advise her.’

The defendant explained the reason for the altercation, saying, ‘Considering the issues I had with my wife and the things I had heard about her, I also got into a conflict with Elahe.’

He added, ‘She told me, you are depressed and life isn’t like that. These words humiliated me.’
