Suspension of IELTS Exams in Iran

The international organization IDP Education has announced that the IELTS exams in Iran will be halted from January 31, 2026 (11th of Bahman, 1404) onwards.

The IELTS Tehran Institute released a statement indicating that there are currently no plans to resume the exams in Iran, but if conditions improve, the matter will be reconsidered.

The statement from the IELTS Tehran Institute mentions that IDP Education has made a difficult decision due to certain financial and regulatory conditions beyond our control.

According to this decision, IELTS exams in Iran will continue until January 31, 2026, after which they will be temporarily suspended.

The institute has emphasized that all reserved exams will be conducted as scheduled, and no candidate with a valid reservation will miss their exam.

The temporary suspension of IELTS exams in Iran, after years of continuous activity, poses a new challenge for many applicants planning to study abroad or immigrate.
