Suspicious Death of 15-Year-Old Afghan Girl in Germany

German police say they have discovered the body of a 15-year-old Afghan girl by the Rhine River in the city of Worms. The police state that the girl drowned in the water, but the 15-year-old girl’s parents are in custody for further investigation.

Mainz police in Germany report that the girl’s 39-year-old father and 34-year-old mother are being held in separate detention facilities. According to the police, the 15-year-old girl was living with her mother before the incident, while the father was residing at a different address.

It is still unclear why the girl lost her life, but initial police investigations suggest she drowned in the river. However, further police investigations are ongoing. Police indicate that it is possible the parents committed this crime because they were dissatisfied with their daughter’s lifestyle. The father had temporary residency, while the mother had permanent residency in Germany.
