Sweden’s Foreign Minister warns Amir-Abdollahian: The plot to kill Jews in Sweden affects our relations
Tobias Billström, Sweden’s Foreign Minister, says he has conveyed his objection to his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, following reports of Iran’s attempt to attack Jews in Sweden.
Mr. Billström, on Thursday, February 26, described the activities of the Islamic Republic’s intelligence agencies on Swedish soil as very negative and told the media that he made it clear to his Iranian counterpart how we view this issue and, of course, how this issue affects the relations between our countries.
He further stated that the fact that Iranian agents have plotted to kill Jewish Swedish citizens on our soil is very serious for us.
He concluded by stating that this issue is of public interest to the European Union and announced that he will discuss this matter with his counterparts in the European Union.
