Tajzadeh to Khamenei: Why Are You Afraid of a Referendum?

Mostafa Tajzadeh, a political activist imprisoned, has reported from prison about the search of his cell and the confiscation of his and Saeed Madani’s handwritten notes.

He addressed Khamenei, asking why you are afraid of merely proposing the idea of holding a referendum.

On the evening of Saturday, March 11, agents from Evin Prison raided the cell of four political prisoners—Mostafa Tajzadeh, Saeed Madani, Mohammadreza Jalaeipour, and Hossein Razagh—for the third time this month, taking their handwritten notes and writings with them.

In a letter to Khamenei, Mostafa Tajzadeh described this search as unusual and prolonged, and considered the confiscation of notes and writings as a violation of the law and the prison regulations.

According to this political activist, they were told that the notes would be returned immediately, but by March 12, when Tajzadeh wrote this letter, they had not yet been returned.
