Tajzadeh explained the reasons for participating in the elections
Mostafa Tajzadeh, a jailed political activist, has explained his reasons for not participating in this year’s presidential elections, stating that if the policies of the leader of the Islamic Republic do not change, Masoud Pezeshkian’s government will face a fate similar to Hassan Rouhani’s second government.
In a letter published on Wednesday, July 18, he stated that his silence and not declaring a position on boycotting the elections were to not hinder Mr. Pezeshkian’s electoral project and his supporters, especially Mohammad Khatami.
Mr. Tajzadeh, referring to the supporters of the leader of the Islamic Republic whom he calls ‘Estesvabioun’, says they will use all their resources against the fourteenth government.
This reformist political activist, pointing to the possibility of Donald Trump coming to power again in the United States, said that the opponents of Pezeshkian’s government are trying to bring his government to a halt and fail, just like Hassan Rouhani’s second government.
