Tajzadeh warned the reformists about the upcoming elections
Mostafa Tajzadeh, a political activist currently in prison, warned the reformists about potentially participating in the upcoming elections and described the elections in the current situation as meaningless.
This political figure, in a meeting with Fakhralsadat Mohtashamipour, his wife, on Tuesday, considered the current policies of the Islamic Republic to be against the wishes of the majority of the people and said the reformists should not be deceived by the recent empty promises regarding the elections.
Mr. Tajzadeh added that as long as the government is determined to oppose the opinion and will of the majority of the nation, and there is no significant indication of reconciliation with the people and yielding to their vote, elections are meaningless. In my opinion, with the current policies and ongoing trends, no one can take a significant step towards solving problems and improving the situation and livelihood of the people.
The elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Assembly of Experts are scheduled to be held on March 1st of this year, but reports indicate early movements by some figures and political groups to participate in it.
