Takht-Ravanchi has not yet discussed details about potential restrictions on Iran’s enrichment.
Majid Takht-Ravanchi said we have not yet gone into details about the level and amount of enrichment. We have announced as a framework that for a limited period, we can accept a series of restrictions related to the level and capacity of enrichment and such issues in the nuclear domain as confidence-building measures.
He clarified that this readiness of Iran to take such measures is in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and added that, therefore, our actions are not unilateral steps but part of confidence-building measures that Iran can propose to show that our nuclear program is entirely peaceful.
The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that in return, actions must be taken by others to lift the sanctions.
In response to the question about the details of the timing and percentage of restrictions, he said we have not reached that stage yet.
We are at the beginning of the process and have not yet entered this issue to determine the time or percentage of the enrichment level.
Regarding some speculations about a potential 25-year restriction, Takht-Ravanchi said no.
None of these speculations are confirmable, neither about the time nor the percentage.
As mentioned, the point raised by Mr. Araqchi was merely stating the framework.
