Takht Ravanchi's Description of Iran-U.S. Relations: A Situation Tougher than the Time of the JCPOA Agreement

Takht-Ravanchi describes the state of Iran-U.S. relations as more difficult than during the JCPOA agreement.

Majid Takht-Ravanchi, former representative of Iran at the United Nations, says that the issues related to Iran-U.S. relations are different now compared to the time of the JCPOA.

Apart from the upcoming U.S. presidential elections and the possibility of Trump returning to power, there are current realities in the relations between the two countries that cannot be ignored.

It is not as if negotiations can be easily conducted and issues resolved, because the current conditions and issues related to the two countries’ relations are unique and not simple.

We should not expect things to be done easily, for example, assuming that starting negotiations will mean the job is done.

The Israeli lobby in the U.S. has become more prominent than before.
