The Taliban’s Foreign Minister: We are happy with good relations with neighboring countries
Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban’s Foreign Minister, says we are happy with good relations with neighboring countries, and the Taliban government’s policy is to become a center of cooperation and connection for regional countries. Mr. Muttaqi says we have practically proven to the regional countries that Afghanistan is no longer a threat to anyone and no one is allowed to operate here to harm others.
Mr. Muttaqi, speaking on Friday at a ceremony commemorating Waheed Muzhda, a political analyst and former Foreign Ministry official during the first Taliban government, said we are pleased to have good political relations with neighboring countries. The ports of Sher Khan and Torghundi, Islam Qala, and Abu Nasr Farahi in Nimroz with Iran, and Torkham and Spin Boldak with Pakistan, you can see that none of the ports have been closed.
He added that we have diplomatic relations with all regional countries. Our new diplomats have gone to Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar.
The Taliban’s Foreign Minister said that we are striving to make Afghanistan a center of economic cooperation and regional connectivity.
