Taliban’s objection to American drone flights: This violation must stop

The Taliban government reacted to reports of American drones being seen over Kandahar province, the Taliban’s leadership headquarters.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the senior spokesman of the Taliban, said they have repeatedly protested the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace by the United States.

He told Tolo News in Kabul that these aircraft undoubtedly belong to the United States, flying and passing through the airspace of some nearby countries before coming to Afghanistan. Everyone should understand their responsibilities in this regard and stop the aggression.

Earlier in March of this year, Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of the Taliban army, stated that Afghanistan’s airspace is still under American control and American drones occasionally patrol the Afghan skies.

He mentioned that unmanned drones occasionally patrol, and the airspace is still occupied by the Americans. These drones might enter Afghanistan’s airspace from the territory of one of the neighboring countries.
