Ultimately, with the votes from UEFA’s website users, Taremi was selected as the best player of the fifth week, marking the first time an Iranian won the title of the best player of the week in the UEFA Champions League.

Porto’s team secured their advancement to the next stage with a 4-0 victory against the Belgian representative.
