The reigning champion of the Portuguese Premier League began its journey to defend its title on the night of its Iranian striker’s brilliance.

According to Tasnim News Agency, at the start of the new season of the Portuguese Premier League early Sunday morning, the football team Porto, the defending champion of the competition, which had included its Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi in the starting lineup, faced the Maritimo team at home and crushed its guest with a 5-1 result. Taremi scored Porto’s first and third goals in the 12th and 42nd minutes of the match.
