According to Tasnim News Agency, 120 representatives are in favor of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s presidency.
Tasnim reported that news has emerged indicating that a large number of the elected members of the twelfth parliament are in favor of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s presidency in the upcoming parliament.
With the fate of the remaining 45 seats of the twelfth parliament determined in the second round of elections, the list of 290 representatives for the next parliament to enter the House of Representatives has been completed.
The twelfth parliament will start its work on the 27th of May, and the most important agenda item on the first day will be the election of the speaker and members of the presiding board of the parliament.
Tasnim News Agency had previously introduced 4 main candidates for the presidency of the parliament, including Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Ali Nikzad, Mojtaba Zolnour, and Manuchehr Mottaki.
Further inquiries from the future parliament members have revealed that most representatives are in favor of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s presidency.
One of these elected representatives told a Tasnim reporter that 120 representatives who have definitively confirmed their presence in the majority faction are in favor of Mr. Ghalibaf’s presidency.
