Technical malfunction on flight from Australia to Chile leaves fifty injured

A technical malfunction on a flight departing from Australia to Chile on Monday, March 11, resulted in at least 50 injuries and sent thirteen passengers to the hospital.

According to a report by Agence France-Presse, the Latin American airline issued a statement saying that flight LA800 experienced severe turbulence due to a technical issue. However, as planned, the flight landed at Auckland Airport in New Zealand before heading to its main destination.

Auckland’s emergency services declared the condition of one of the passengers as critical. The office of the Latin American airline is located in Chile.
