Tehran City Council bans the sale of Nestle and Coca-Cola products
Mehdi Babaei, head of the Safety Committee of the Islamic City Council of Tehran, during the review of the plan to prohibit the advertisement of Israeli goods, said that in addition to the advertising ban, the sale of these goods in Shahrvand stores and fruit and vegetable markets, as well as the purchase of these goods by the municipality in its programs, is also prohibited.
He further emphasized that any advertising using the municipality’s advertising facilities and capacities for products with an Israeli label, such as Coca-Cola and Nestle, and companies licensed by Israel, will be prohibited.
According to the text of the resolution, the Tehran municipality is obliged to enforce the ban on advertising brands supporting Israel in all advertising capacities of the Tehran municipality, including billboards, urban signs, and other affiliated media, as well as the prohibition of selling and offering products of these companies in all units affiliated with the municipality, including Shahrvand stores and fruit and vegetable markets, and the non-purchase and use of products related to these companies by the Tehran municipality and all its subsidiary organizations.
