Tehran Municipality IT Organization Staff Went on Strike

Employees of the Tehran Municipality’s Technology Organization went on strike

Employees of the Tehran Municipality’s Technology Organization have stopped working and gone on strike due to livelihood issues and the prevailing management approach, including delays in the payment of annual benefits.

This organization is of high importance due to the municipality’s technology infrastructure, as demonstrated last June when hacking of this section disrupted and halted many of Tehran Municipality’s operations.

The problems of this organization began when the Tehran mayor’s son-in-law got involved in the organization’s top management and took on important decision-making responsibilities. The lack of experience and unfamiliarity with the organization’s environment could bring more problems to the city’s management.

It is worth mentioning that the Tehran mayor is currently in China, and as announced, the reason for this long-term trip is not clear.
