Tehran Prosecutor: More than 20 billion euros have also been settled

The Tehran prosecutor has resolved over 20 billion euros.

The Tehran prosecutor announced the recovery of over 5 billion euros in foreign currency from exporters who had not fulfilled their currency obligations by the due date and stated that more than 20 billion euros have also been resolved.

Ali Salehi, the public and revolutionary prosecutor of Tehran, explained the latest actions of the judiciary in combating currency violations and stated that, by the order of the head of the judiciary, a special committee was formed within the judiciary to address currency issues and fulfill obligations. Its meetings are held regularly under the chairmanship of the head of the General Inspection Organization of the country and several high-ranking judiciary officials and managers of relevant agencies.

He added that in this committee, the cases of individuals whose currency obligations have expired and who have not returned the currency are reviewed, and these individuals are asked to fulfill their obligations.
