Tehran Representative in Parliament: The Era of Narrow-Mindedness in Broadcasting has Ended

Tehran’s representative in Parliament says the era of narrow-mindedness of the national broadcaster has ended.

Parliament and the Guardian Council have removed the exclusive authority of the national broadcaster over SATRA and its overreach to exert pressure on the field of broad sound and image from the 2023 budget law, meaning the broadcaster no longer has any pretext or excuse for monopolizing and pressuring VODs.

The era of lawlessness, narrow-mindedness, and shortsightedness of the national broadcaster has ended. We must understand the era of the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformations and respect the legal and social freedoms of the people.
