Tehran Representative: Within Forty Days, Tehran Will Face Severe Water Shortage or Scarcity

Tehran’s representative says that within the next forty days, Tehran will face severe water scarcity or shortage.

Zeinab Gheysari, Tehran’s representative, pointed out the water crisis in the country and said, according to the announcement by the Tehran Water and Sewage officials, the situation is not good, and approximately within the next forty days, we will face severe water scarcity or shortage in Tehran.

Zeinab Gheysari, referring to the significant decrease in water inflow to the dams in the country, especially in Tehran, said that reducing water pressure is one of the measures considered to ensure water reaches all areas. However, fundamental solutions must be thought of, such as implementing the second phase of the Taleqan Dam for water transfer, which is on the agenda, and we hope it will be finalized by the end of the year, but we should not overlook other aspects of this issue.
