Tehran Water and Wastewater Company: Water Supply to All Pools Will Be Cut Off from Tomorrow

The Tehran Water and Wastewater Company will cut off water to all pools starting tomorrow.

The Tehran Water and Wastewater Company has announced that starting Thursday, July 24, water to public and private pools in the capital will be cut off until further notice.

This decision has been made in response to the severe water shortage and unprecedented drought that has affected Tehran.

In the announcement, it was emphasized that all public centers and residential complexes must refrain from filling pools, and in case of violation, they will face legal restrictions and water disconnection.

Officials have warned that the water supply reservoirs for Tehran have reached a concerning level, and if unnecessary consumption continues, the crisis will enter a more serious phase.

In recent weeks, Tehran has faced temperatures above 50 degrees and a 45% decrease in rainfall compared to the average of previous years.

According to experts’ estimates, Iran’s capital is facing one of the most severe droughts in the past century, and warnings about reaching a state of complete water scarcity are more serious than ever.
