Telegram has surpassed YouTube in Russia

According to Sputnik, Alexander Shirokikh, an internet expert, citing data from Mediascope Cross Web, stated that for the first time, Telegram has surpassed YouTube in Russia.

The report states that Telegram’s daily audience in March reached 509 million, while YouTube’s was 507 million.

In January of last year, Telegram’s daily audience was only 25 million, marking a growth of 104%. The social network VKontakte leads in Russia with 533 million users.
