The Air Quality in Hoveyzeh is in a Very Unhealthy Condition

The air quality in Hoveyzeh is in a very unhealthy state.

The air quality in Hoveyzeh County, located in Khuzestan Province, was in a very unhealthy state on Thursday, November 8th. Additionally, 12 other cities in this province are in red and orange levels of pollution. In recent days, due to air pollution, schools in several cities in this province have switched to remote learning, and government offices and universities have started their activities with delays.

At the same time, Mohammad Jafar Qaempanah, the Executive Vice President, during his visit to Khuzestan, pointed out that the burning of flare stacks at oil facilities and the dryness of wetlands are the main factors contributing to air pollution in this province. He mentioned that Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized accelerating the addressing of these factors.

He stated that over the past year, the Ministry of Oil has managed to control about 8 million cubic feet per day of emissions from oil flare stacks.
