The average price per square meter of a house in Tehran reached 87 million tomans.
The Etemad newspaper wrote in a report on Monday, September 1, that the average housing price in Tehran has reached 87 million tomans per meter.
The report published, quoting the Central Bank of Iran, states that the developments in Tehran’s housing market indicate a 271% increase in the number of apartments sold.
This report emphasizes that in the month of Tir, the average price for buying and selling one square meter of residential property traded through real estate agencies in Tehran was 87.4 million tomans, indicating an 18% increase compared to the previous month.
Economic reports from domestic media in Iran indicate that families in Tehran and other major cities sometimes are forced to coexist in narrow residential units or share apartments to reduce the burden of high rental prices.
Iran’s economy has experienced a significant recession in recent years, which has led to a decrease in national income, a decrease in currency value, and the creation of inflation.
