Etemad newspaper on Monday, 11th of Shahrivar, September 1st, reported in a news that the average housing price in Tehran has reached 87 million Tomans per square meter.
The published report, citing the Central Bank of Iran, states that the housing market in Tehran has seen a 271% increase in the number of apartments traded.
This report emphasizes that in the month of Tir, the average price of buying and selling one square meter of residential unit through real estate agencies in Tehran was 874 million Tomans, indicating an 18% increase compared to the previous month.
Economic reports from Iranian domestic media indicate that families in Tehran and other major cities sometimes are forced to live together in narrow residential units or share apartments to reduce the burden of high rent prices.
