The Budget and Planning Commission of the Iranian Parliament has approved the government’s urgent bill regarding the reduction of the value-added tax on essential goods

According to Mohsen Zanganeh, a member of this commission, this bill sets the value-added tax law for some goods at one percent for a period of one year

This bill must be presented in the public session of the Parliament and, if finally approved by the representatives, must be ratified by the Guardian Council to become enforceable
