The Board of Governors approved a resolution against the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

Reuters news agency, citing diplomats present at the closed-door meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors, reported that a reproachful resolution against the Islamic Republic regarding its nuclear program has been approved.

According to this report, the United Nations Board of Governors, consisting of 35 countries, approved this resolution and called on the Islamic Republic to increase its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and to lift the recent ban on senior inspectors from visiting nuclear sites in Iran.

The draft of this resolution was prepared and submitted by the three countries of Britain, France, and Germany. According to Reuters sources, this reproachful resolution was approved with 20 votes in favor, 2 against, and 12 abstentions.
